So I started a blog and then didn't post for ages - mainly because I haven't been making much recently. What happened? Well, boring things like applying for a job and prepping for the ensuing interview (I didn't get it - boo!) more fun things like school holidays and visiting family, but all stuff that eats up time. I have to admit that I am one of those people who is better at starting things than actually finishing them, and always have several projects on the go. I'm trying to focus on actually finishing a few things at the moment. One of my projects is a lovely tapestry kit from Erhman. I got the kit for Christmas a couple of years ago, shortly after my daughter was born, so have only done about an inch. I have resolved to crack on with it during the light summer evenings - it needs natural light as some of the wools are so closely shaded that they are almost impossible to tell apart. I love the pattern, it's one of their Klimt range and has some sparkly gold threads in it.
I recently took the tapestry along to the first meeting of a craft group that one of my friends has started up. We all took our latest project and it was great to have an evening crafting and chatting, I felt inspired to get home and get making. The next one is in a few weeks, really looking forward to it.
